Yvette’s love is faithful and it’s always been there, compelling her to create and re-create the human form in all its complexity and drama.  As a child, she was always writing poetry or doodling and drawing faces and now, over thirty years later, she has undergone an exploration encompassing oils, acrylic, charcoal, pencil and water colour.

Raised in an artistic family, it is no surprise that Yvette illustrated two books: The Boy Who Barked and The Boy Who Found His Pulse. Yvette is passionate about children and what they are reading and absorbing through life, and as she also works in the Early Childhood Education sector, she is thrilled to be a part of caring, ethical books which promote being true to yourself and following your dreams. She takes pride in adding an extra dimension to the written word as her artwork opens up a world for children to interpret and investigate.

Yvette has many stories to her name, some of which have been published in various anthologies and some of which have yet to hit the public! Her art exploration has taken her from simple drawings and oil paintings to murals and book illustration. Yvette is evolving both as an artist and as a person and she welcomes the expression of her art in all its forms.
